In the second half of the ХХ century, some societies have invented ingenious answers to the questions that are now facing Ukraine. If you want to increase the human capital of the country quickly, efficiently and cheaply, you should change society idea upon the role of women. Stop demographic crisis? Simply. Create a family friendly workplace and public environments. Make a city comfortable for everyone? Organize Women’s Department, like the city administration of Vienna (Vienna is recognized as the most comfortable city in the world estimated by Mercer company).
These and other examples will be discussed in the lecture. We will learn what gender mainstreaming, gender budgeting is, what quotas exist and how they work. And finally, let’s think what unique ideas bring involvement of women in art, science and philosophy – that is, in our view of human being as is, of humanity and common future of the planet.
